RMA Soils were requested by Jacobs Group to undertake a geotechnical investigation for the construction of a new building at Hervey Bay Hospital.

The proposed building will comprise the construction of a split-level mental health unit within the Hervey Bay Hospital grounds.

All soil classification descriptions, field and laboratory tests were carried out in accordance with Australian Standards AS1289-2014: Methods of Testing Soils for Engineering Purposes and AS1726-2017: Geotechnical Site Investigations.

• RMA Soils evaluated the subsurface and surface conditions by undertaking and providing
• Investigations into the subsurface profile and groundwater conditions by drilling, sampling and insitu testing
• Laboratory testing on selected samples to assess the engineering properties of the subsurface material
• Assessment of geotechnical design parameters
• Earthworks recommendations
