We’re proud to announce that we’ve expanded our construction material testing service offerings to include concrete compression and consistency testing. RMA Soils are NATA accredited and can now provide concrete testing to fully service your project requirements. We’ve been working hard in continually expanding our business capabilities to ensure we are in the best position to help our clients fully realise their projects in a comprehensive and accessible way. Our new concrete testing service adds additional scope to our existing construction materials testing capabilities, meaning we can fully service residential, commercial and industrial infrastructure projects for both soil and concrete testing. We can provide a complete solution from start to finish, with all our services being conducted in-house.
The Australian Building Codes Board outlines strict, very specific safety regulations and quality guidelines. With these mandatory obligations a fundamental component of any construction project, securing an independent contractor like RMA Soils to conduct this type of testing on your behalf ensures that your project remains compliant. Our compression testing is designed to demonstrate the greatest strength that your concrete can provide in optimal conditions, measuring its strength in a hardened state. Simply put, compressive strength is the ability of a certain construction material or structure to bear a load of significant weight on its surface without any fracture, warp or deflection.
To conduct this type of testing, field concrete samples are prepared, cured and tested according to AS 1012 standard procedures. Cylindrical concrete specimens are prepared from concrete taken from different sections of a particular construction site.
